This project speaks to the essential nature of incorporating place based learning into the education system. Through completing this project, I learned that allowing students to connect to the land leaves them with meaningful learning experiences that further connect them to their community, local cultures and environment. Place based education makes learning more engaging and relevant, and leaves students with a deeper understanding of their role in the real world.
